All that is known is that they supply the powerful energy contained in small metallic spheres for use in a number of weapons and devices. The Thor Mk17 'Lightning gun' is one such weapon that uses the energy in a simple, but devastating manner. The primary attack is a flesh-searing stream of burning hot lightning, that creates a force capable of lifting targets from the ground, all the while burning them with the beam. If the user sustains too much damage while firing, the victim may be released and the beam will begin to rake the surrounding area.
